Hey there Eagles fans! It’s been such a crazy few weeks lately! Last Friday was my very last day working with the BELL program in New York where I was teaching basketball in The Bronx which was really a lot of fun. It was cool because at the end of every week we got to go on a field trip with the students. Our last trip was The Bronx Zoo which I have never been to before. That place was humongous!!! Seriously, the amount of walking we did that day and just running after kids left and right totally wore me out! It was fun however to see all the cool animals and exhibits that they had. My favorite part of the trip must have been the monorail which took us around the zoo and saw all the animals in their natural habitats.

My BELL students after a long day @ the zoo... soo going to miss them!

As much fun as the program was, I must say that I am kind of relieved that it is over because now I can focused solely on being BACK TO FOOTBALL!!! I am sooooo excited for this season to start. I have a feeling it is going to be a great season and I am so looking forward to our first pre-season game this Thursday! We have been working our butts off in rehearsals to make this such an entertaining season for you Eagles fans! We had a rehearsal on the field the other week and it was such a great feeling to be standing there and I was just picturing how it would look with fans screaming all around showing their love and support for the Eagles!!! As a rookie, I can definitely say that I am just so excited about everything! Everything is so brand new to me and I’m just taking everything in!  I did an appearance with my cheerleader friend Teresa at training camp last Saturday and it was really great to see all the fans out there showing their support for our team. I can’t wait and I’m so excited that my parents will be coming down to watch the game. I know they’re going to have an awesome time!

One of my favorite things in New York City Rockefellar Center

On another note… this past Friday I saw one of the coolest shows I have ever seen! I saw Cirque du Soleil’s brand new production Zarkana in Radio City Music Hall and it was amazing! The acrobats where so talented and it boggles my mind how some of these things could be done. I think everyone should watch a Cirque du Soleil show at least once in their lifetime. It really shows you that anything is possible and human beings have the strength to do anything. It was so beautiful and amazing that you are really left stunned after the show. After the show, I had dinner at Rink Side which was a beautiful outdoor restaurant in Rockafellar Center and it is open only during the Spring and Summer time because it is usually the skating rink in Rockefellar! We got really lucky and got seated right by the famous golden statue! It was such a great sight to see while having fantastic food!

Well Eagles fans… it’s been really fun sharing what little ol’ me has been up to lately. I’ll be writing back soon and with pics from our first Pre-season Game which we’re going to win right Eagles fans?!?!?

E-A-G-L-E-S…. EAGLES!!!!! Whoo!

Summer Fun in Canada and NYC!

Posted by eaglesgirlclaude on July 13, 2011 – 10:43 am

Hey Eagles Fans!!!

Claudette here letting you know what little ol’ me has been up to lately. Two weeks ago I was up in Toronto, Canada visiting family and celebrating my cousin Casey’s high school graduation. It’s was so much fun hanging out with my family from Canada because I barely get to see them. My aunt and uncle took my sister and I shopping which is always a great time! I love shopping in different places because I get to shop in stores that they don’t have in the States. Weird thing about Canada…. They don’t have Dunkin Donuts!!! Isn’t that weird?? But there was a Tim Horton’s which was their version. I definitely can’t function without my morning coffee!

My cousin Casey and I

I also got to go to Canada’s version of Six Flags which was Canada’s Wonderland. Lots of fun! I even got my dad to go on the biggest roller coaster there with my cousins and I! We was there for Canada Day which was really cool. Everyone was barbecuing and lighting up fireworks which were beautiful! Here’s some pics from my Canada trip:

My godson and goddaughter Ethan and Mia! So cute!

Just like her Godmother/Aunt shopping as always!

It was so much fun to spend time with godchildren Ethan and Mia. Even though Mia was the girl she definitely knew how to stick up for herself when it came to Ethan. They were so much fun! They had so much energy all the time! Here’s a pic of little Mia shopping around in the shops at Canada’s Wonderland… I caught her candid!

On the Behemoth rollercoaster in Wonderland... My dad's in the back with his eyes closed holding on to dear life! lol

View of the city from Tony's apartment.. Amazing!

Awesome!

My family and I drove back from Canada on the 4th of July and I wanted to make sure I was able to see the famous Macy’s Fireworks Spectacular in New York City. Even though I was exhausted from my eight-hour drive from Toronto, nothing was going to stop me from watching the fireworks in the city and  celebrating with my friends Bianca, Jean, Nisa, Steve, and Frank. We had such an awesome view of the fireworks from a friend’s apartment in the heart of the city! There were so many people watching outside that it looked like New Years Eve in Times Square! Fourth of July is such a great time to spend with family and friends. It’s one of my favorite parts about summer. Everyone gets to relax, share laughs and just have a fun time with loved ones. This year was a great Fourth of July for me. :)

Greetings Eagles Fans!!!

Posted by eaglesgirlclaude on June 22, 2011 – 11:44 pm

Hey everyone! I’m so happy to be finally be blogging! I wanted to give you guys an update of what I’ve been up to these past few weeks. But first off, I would like to wish all the Eagles dads out there a belated happy father’s day! I hope you and your loved ones had a great weekend! I started off my father’s day over at the Novacare Complex cheering for the Bank of America flag football game! It was a really fun event! It was nice to see all the dads with their families and friends playing a nice game of flag football. After the event I spent the day with my family to celebrate father’s day. Unfortunately my dad had to work during father’s day :( (isn’t that terrible?!?!) But I did get  to spend it with my grandfather. He’s just recently started going under dialysis treatment and he’s been such a soldier and positive  throughout the whole thing. My prayers go out to you Tatay, love you!

However, Things have been fantastic! The school year is almost over and I get to finally begin enjoying my summer vacation! I’ve been out and about going to the beach, working out and hanging out with family and friends every chance I get. Two weeks ago I watched my younger sister’s dance recital and she was amazing. I never realized how long these dance recitals are. It’s a lot different when you are the performer, it seems like time goes by so much faster! The recital was 3 hours long!!! But it was definitely worth it watching her perform. So proud of her! Who knows maybe in a few years she’ll be a future Eagles cheerleader like her older sister! ;)

If you’re a busy bee as I can be at times it could get difficult to be able to fit in time for a workout. So I’ve been taking advantage of the awesome weather we’ve been having and doing some outdoor activities. I definitely enjoy it a lot more than a sweaty gym! So instead of going to the gym I ran outside and when to the driving range instead! It’s a lot of fun!

Getting ready to swing...

Practice makes perfect!

A few weeks ago after an appearance, it was such a beautiful day out and Michael John and I spent the day walking around South Street, one of my favorite areas in Philly. It’s a great place to just walk around and see really fun things. I stopped by Isaiah Zagar’s Magic Gardens. This place is amazing! He is so creative and talented, the entire place is mosaic art! The best part is he incorporates so many different types of materials and still makes it beautiful!

This pic was taken last summer @ the Magic Gardens... kisses!
