Hey Eagles Fans!

I am back for a second season as a Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleader and I could not be more excited! After an intense couple of months of auditions we are finally kicking off our 2011-2012 season! I can’t believe I am finally a Veteran Cheerleader .

These last couple of weeks has been so busy balancing cheerleading and school but I finally completed my very last final of my junior year in college! I can not believe I am going to be a senior next year. Juggling school and cheerleading has absolutely been a challenge for me throughout this past year but I think that it has really helped me grow as a person. And hey it’s all part of living the life as an Eagles Cheerleader!

As the season begins we have already been rolling ahead full force. We had our 2011-2012 Draft Night which is our very first experience together as the new squad. We greeted eager Eagles fans, took pictures, and signed autographs. We also performed a dance together for the very first time! My first appearance of the new season was Regis and Kelly’s Run Across America with Dean Karnazes, how exciting is that?! I love starting my day off with Regis and Kelly! It felt good to finally be back in the beautiful Vera Wang Uniform alongside my fellow teammates.

Monday was a very exciting day for the entire squad as we had our trading card shoot at Joseph Anthony Retreat Spa and Salon! I woke up early, ate a healthy breakfast and laid outside in the beautiful weather for a while. I then made my way to the salon with my uniform. When I arrived, all of the girls were beaming with excitement and anticipation. Having our hair and makeup professionally done was incredible. For the first time ever my hair had a little curl to it which was different for me (I ALWAYS wear my hair straight), but I loved it! The shoot makes you feel like a supermodel! The wind blowing through your hair, the music playing, and the helpful direction given by our photographer all contribute to a beautiful picture! I will be sure to put up a picture of my new trading card as soon as I get it!

Finally, last Wednesday we had our very first dance rehearsal with our choreographer, Suzy! I spent that day eating healthy, stretching, and going over our audition dances to make sure that I was 100% prepared for rehearsal. I learned so much from our rehearsals last year and I was just hoping that I could really see an improvement in my dancing.
